The Boyup Brook Art Awards is a distinguished competition and exhibition that showcases and promotes artists across five diverse categories: works on canvas, works on paper, mixed media, textiles, and 3D sculptures.
Awards include first and second place in each category, the coveted Open Prize, Indigenous Award, Young Artist Award (Under 21), Packer’s Prize, and People’s Choice. Additionally, all artworks are available to purchase throughout the exhibition.
Importantly, the Art Awards offers an invaluable opportunity for regional and emerging artists to exhibit their artwork, gain recognition, and connect with new audiences and buyers.
Last year, the event attracted approximately 500 visitors, with 65 artists entering 189 artworks, and 9% of pieces sold during the exhibition.
The event is fortunate to have Bev Bagby judging for the second consecutive year. In 2025, she spent many hours, and even lost some sleep, carefully selecting the award winners. With more than three decades of experience as an artist and educator, and working with a diverse selection of mediums, Bev brings a lot of depth and insight to the judging process.
