A brand-new music festival is set to make its debut this spring. NewFarm, New Country will take place from 17–19 October 2025 at the picturesque NewFarm Campground, located between Denmark and Walpole on Western Australia’s south coast.
Spanning three days—Friday to Sunday—the festival promises an unforgettable weekend of alt-country and folk music in one of the state’s most breathtaking natural settings. Festivalgoers can expect a carefully curated lineup featuring a blend of international acts, east coast favourites, and outstanding talent from Perth and the South West.
Set across 62 acres of unspoiled bushland, NewFarm Campground is surrounded by iconic destinations including Greens Pool and the Valley of the Giants, offering a unique mix of music, nature, and community connection.
The inaugural lineup is led by Swimming Bell (USA)—bringing their dreamy psych-folk sound to Australian audiences for the first time. Other featured artists include David M. Western, Charlotte Le Lievre, Emily Barker, The Wilds, The Nomadics, Lemon Myrtle, RACOO, Tammy London, Stack of Bibles, Anna Schneider, Polly Medlen, any many more.
The festival is designed to be a long-term cultural fixture—supporting local creatives, showcasing emerging and established talent, and boosting the local economy through partnerships with regional suppliers across staging, catering, accommodation, and logistics.
The event is aligned with the national touring calendar to strengthen WA’s presence on the broader country and folk music circuit, helping to connect regional audiences with artists from around the world.
Festivalgoers are invited to camp under the stars, explore nearby beaches and forests, and experience the Southern Forests & Valleys through music, culture, and community.
