Take the Boyup Brook / Kojonup Road (S). 5kms from town to your left is Northlands Farmstay with facilities for B&B, a self-contained unit to sleep 10, caravans and camping – Bill Gordon – Ph. 0428 651 089. At the next cross roads turning left into Six Mile Road will take you to the Boyup Brook Golf Club – the best winter sand-green Golf Course in the South West . Contact Lyn, Ph. 0427 644 064 Return to the the Boyup Brook / Kojonup Road, turn left, then left again at the T-junction. In 100m turn right onto the Boyup Brook / Cranbrook Road (S) with the Mayanup Hall on your left. The Mayanup Receation Ground, found along from the hall, has facilities for loading and unloading horses, shelter, water and toilets.

Continuing along the Boyup Brook / Cranbrook Road(S) to Tonebridge (S 34° 13’ 39” – E 116° 42’ 15.9”) is found a pleasant picnic spot on the Tone River – caravan or camping overnight, shelter and toilet. A good place to stop for a picnic to break the journey. Retrace your steps along the Boyup Brook / Cranbrook Road towards Boyup Brook and turn right into Tuckett Road (G). {Formerly Tone River Road} Take the left fork into Pretty Gully Road (G) where, on your right at the junction you will see the Chowerup School, (S 34° 09’ 02.4” – E116° 43’ 2.09”) which was closed in the late 1990’s (now privately owned). Continuing on Pretty Gully Road find the Chowerup Cemetery (S 34° 05’ 09.2” – E 116° 42’ 10.3”) on your left and further along, the Chowerup Hall (S 34° 05’ 0.9” – E 116° 41’ 52.5”) (built in 1924). At the next corner turn right into Westbourne Road (G) and later left into Scotts Brook Road (G-S). See the old timber mill site (S 34° 04’ 50.2” – E 116° 43’ 52.6”) to the right from this ‘T’ junction. Scotts Brook Road (G/S) will take you back to Mayanup (32km). On the way you will find yourself travelling through long stretches of bush reserves where you can stop to see many wildflowers when in season. “Norlup”, On Norlup Road( G) (S 35° 57’ 46” – E 116° 33’ 37.7”) is the original homestead, built in 1874 by Commander Scott. It has been beautifully restored by the present owners, Lance and Margaret Hester ~ visits by appointment only – ph 9767 3034.

Back on Scotts Brook Road you will soon reach, on your right, Querijup Pool Reserve (S 33° 58’ 01.2” – E 116° 30’ 38.9”). Here you will find a large reserve of open bush parkland where the track leads to a quiet crossing over the Scotts Brook; great for a bush picnic (no facilities); many birds and very likely, kangaroos. Continue along Scotts Brook Road until you reach the T-junction at the Boyup Brook / Kojonup Road (S). Turn left and you will soon find yourself back at the Mayanup corner. Follow the signposts to Boyup Brook.
