Located within the picturesque Nannup Caravan Park, Dunnett Camp offers riders a unique opportunity to stay close to the heart of Nannup while travelling the Warren Blackwood Stock Route. Positioned along the banks of the Blackwood River and surrounded by towering trees and parklands, the campsite combines the convenience of town facilities with the experience of long-distance trail riding.

The Warren Blackwood Stock Route horse yards are located at the rear of the Caravan Park beside campsite 92 and are accessed via the Foreshore Park car park, where parking is available for horse floats and trucks. Dunnett Camp provides an ideal rest point for riders wanting access to town services, supplies, accommodation options, and amenities before continuing along the trail.

Fire & Emergency Information

Campfires are only permitted in accordance with caravan park rules and current fire restrictions. Riders must comply with all Total Fire Ban requirements and should never leave fires unattended.

An insight from the family:
In the days leading up to the trip to the coast, there was much activity at the farms.
The horses had to be shod, the cattle selected and bells put around the necks of
some of them. This made them much easier to find once they were on the coast.
 
‘You used to put them in the bails up at the dairy and wrap a bell around them, open
the door and let them outside and they used to bellow and buck and carry on. We, as
kids thought that was great fun.’


‘…when they used to go down in the horse and carts and droving the cattle down,
their first chore would be to check the fences…have to clean out the through, make
sure the mill was working and doing that job and then they’d go and catch a few
marrons.’
