The world’s premier gravel cycling event is coming to Western Australia, and Nannup will be at the heart of it. Set amongst the rolling hills, tall forests, and iconic gravel roads of the Southern Forests & Valleys region, the 2026 UCI Gravel World Championships will showcase one of the most beautiful racing backdrops on the planet.
From 4–8 October 2026, the Southern Forests & Valleys will come alive with the Rainbow Rides, a week-long celebration of riding, food, music, culture, and community. This leads into the main event, the UCI Gravel World Championships on 10–11 October, where the world’s best elite and amateur riders will compete for the rainbow jersey.
More than 3,000 international and national competitors, 2,000 G7 cyclists, and over 10,000 spectators are expected to descend on the region, transforming Nannup into a vibrant festival hub. Visitors can explore race routes carved through ancient forests, enjoy markets and live entertainment, discover local produce and wineries, and experience why the Southern Forests & Valleys is Australia’s true home of gravel racing.
Get ready to ride, cheer, explore, and celebrate, this is gravel racing on a world stage.
