Pemberton is a small, peaceful, safe community with all the essentials including a supermarket, chemist, doctor, hospital, bakery and newsagent. It has appealing cafes, a tapas bar, hotel and a whiskey bar, wineries and various small, interesting food and tourism outlets.

Eucalyptus House is close enough to town to walk, although a car is very useful to explore Pemberton and the Southern Forests & Valleys.
