Truffle Hunting Experience

Truffle Hill was the first truffière to be established in Manjimup, Western Australia back in 1997. Dedication, devotion, and sheer hard work has seen Truffle Hill become one of the largest producers of black Périgord truffle in the world. Truffle Hill is one of the few truffières in the world that allows a select number of people to participate in a truffle hunt in the winter months and see for themselves the fascination of how truffles grow, are hunted, and checked for maturity, and then harvested.

Join Adrian and his team of trusted hounds at the cellar door where you will be promptly taken to a magical section of our truffiere, where he can answer all your questions regarding truffle production. He will explain and demonstrate how we harness the incredible olfactory sense that the canine species possess to locate the most wonderful, ripe truffles in the world for one of the most unique and fun-filled hours of your life. You are more than welcome to get your hands dirty to dig the truffles yourself once one of the dogs have located them, or leave it to the hunter.

By choosing The Truffle Experience, after your hunt with our expert dogs you will be joined at the restaurant alfresco area for a private, guided truffle and wine tasting with our experienced cellar door team. Taste your way through truffle infused local delights and our multi-award winning boutique wine range, handcrafted in Manjimup by head winemaker Mark Aitken. After your tour is complete you will have the opportunity to shop in our cellar door where fresh truffle will be available for purchase along with all our other earthly delights.

Our truffle hunting season in 2023 begins on Friday 2nd June and ends Sunday 20th August.

Truffle Products

Enjoy fresh Australian truffles for sale direct from the farm from June to August each year, while our premium truffle products such as condiments, oils, gift packs and more, are available all year round. Each product highlights the rich flavour of our black winter truffles and is expertly crafted to be the perfect accompaniment to any dish.


Truffle Hill Wines

A visit to Truffle Hill Wines’ cellar door is an experience for all the senses. Firstly the views: it sits along curving Seven Day Road, home to some of Manjimup’s oldest and most fertile growing land. The landscape rises and falls, curving around blossoming fruit orchards, stands of karri trees and pasture fields. The surrounding vineyard and oak-tree-lined truffiére are painted by the colour of the seasons: lushly green in winter, blazing golden in autumn. With its inviting, rustic-chic cellar door and adjacent restaurant overlooking a pretty dam, there are few more scenic places to sample two of the Southern Forests most famous products: rich, peaty Black Winter Truffles and elegant, artisanal wines.
