The Understory Community Café is a community-owned, social enterprise run by Southern Forest Arts, offering a welcoming space for connection, conversation, and care. Operating as a pop-up café and mobile coffee van, it brings people together with good coffee, homemade food, and a shared love of place, whether at the Northcliffe Visitor Centre, local markets, or scenic forest and coastal locations across the region.
More than just coffee, the café supports local employment, skills development, and community participation, providing an informal space to pause, connect, and feel at home. Visitors are invited to linger, enjoy a cuppa, and explore nearby cultural and nature-based experiences such as the Understory Art & Nature Trail and Garden Gallery.
