As part of one of the world’s 34 internationally recognised biodiversity hotspots, the South-West of Western Australia is home to thousands of plants that are found nowhere else.
The Southern Forests region is home to more than 2500 species of plants, including more than 100 terrestrial orchid species. Visit between August and November and you’ll see many dazzling displays, from delicate spider orchids and tufted hooded lilies to native wisteria and carpets of pink petticoats and everlastings.
