“Hilltop” is an area to the north east of Walpole that lies within the Walpole-Nornalup National Park and can be accessed from a gravel entry road off the South Coast Highway. At Hilltop Lookout, a clearing in the forest on a hillslope offers a picturesque view across the forest down to Frankland River and Nornalup Inlet and beyond to the ocean.

Hilltop Lookout is the first stop on Hill Top Scenic Drive on your way to Giant Tingle Tree and Circular Pool. Access to Hilltop Lookout is not suitable if towing a caravan.

The Bibbulmun Track goes past Hilltop Lookout, making it a convenient spot to start or finish a bushwalk.

Take a walk from the Hilltop Lookout to Coalmine Beach.
