A beautiful trail which begins not too far north of the small town of Nornalup.

The trail itself is a mix of the Bibbulmun section of the trail – which is fantastic! And the stretch along Creek Road – which is quite open and dry.

It might be worth trying Sappers Bridge to Frankland Camp return to stay in the best of the forest.

Set with gigantic logs, Sappers Bridge appears out of nowhere at the intersection of two dirt tracks in the middle of the Walpole Wilderness Area. The Walpole – Nornalup National Park is filled with Karri and Tingle Forests and the size of the bridge puts into perspective how big and powerful these trees actually are.

The ‘Sappers’ were ingenious to build this structure with only the materials they had to hand.
