The Southern Forests & Valleys Heritage Festival is the perfect time to step outside and discover the rich history woven through our landscapes. From heritage walks and scenic drives to forest trails and coastal paths, there are dozens of trails to explore across the region. And the best part? They are open all year round!
Wander through towering karri forests on the Pemberton Heritage Trail and Gloucester Tree Walk, uncover local stories along the Bridgetown, Balingup, Greenbushes and Nannup Heritage Trails, or take in riverside views on the Blackwood River Walk.
Explore the Giant Tingle Tree and Coalmine Beach Heritage Walks in Walpole or the Coastal Survivors Walk at Windy Harbour, then discover the region’s timber and settlement history along trails like Manjimup to Deanmill Heritage Trail, Nannup Timberline Trail, and the Heritage Connections Drive Trail.
In Boyup Brook, choose from a range of experiences including the Heritage Trail, Sculpture Stalk, and scenic drive routes, while Donnybrook, Greenbushes and Northcliffe offer unique walks blending culture, nature and storytelling.
