The young karri trees that ring the dam are not only stunning, but also play an important role in the environment. These giants grow rapidly, absorbing carbon from the atmosphere and acting as a natural carbon sink — helping to slow the effects of climate change while creating the lush green canopy that makes this spot so magical.
