A spectacular walk along coastal cliffs with outstanding and far reaching views east and west along the south coast. This Bibbulmun Track day walk from Conspicuous Beach to Rame Head Campsite is 6.6km return.

This walk provides a taste of unspoiled coastline. Much of the coastline around Walpole is gorgeously rugged, but difficult to get to. Conspicuous Beach is one of the few beaches in the area accessible to two-wheel-drive vehicles. As an example of WA’s wild and isolated coastal splendour it is hard to beat.

This section offers two whale watching lookouts before traversing a beach section. The track then climbs steeply to Conspicuous Cliffs for spectacular views over the Southern Ocean then descends through coastal heath. Keep an eye open for tiny wrens and other small birds en route to Rame Head camp site.

Southern Right and Humpback whales can be seen in winter and spring breaching and playing quite close to the shore. Enjoy further outstanding views towards Point Irwin and beyond from Rame Head campsite. The ascent to Rame Head campsite can be challenging.

Vehicle access- Conspicuous Beach carpark

From Walpole, head east on South Coast Hwy for 15km, turn right onto Conspicuous Beach road and travel 6km to carpark near beach.
