The annual Blooming Wild Festival celebrates the wildflower season in the Southern Forests and Valleys. Celebrate the diversity and experience the magnificent natural gardens that make up the Southern Forests and Valleys region.

Encompassing the tall timber towns of Northcliffe, Pemberton, Manjimup and Walpole and the surrounding towns of Bridgetown, Greenbushes, Balingup and Nannup, the festival showcases the wide range of landscapes, flora and fauna over the Spring season.

BUGS N BLOOMS
Saturday 7th October, 2023
Join Paul Irvine (PWI Photography) for an hour, a few hours or a day exploring the region, searching and photographing the flora and fauna of the
coastal heath and forests around Windy Harbour and Northcliffe. Meet at the Sea Rescue Hall carpark (Boat Ramp) at Windy Harbour at 9am.

Sunday 8th October, 2023
Gather at the corner of Vasse Hwy and Hopgarden Rd (Karri Valley) at 9am for a morning of macro
magic.
Bring your camera or phone to take photos, food, drinks, sunscreen/wet weather gear as required and wear enclosed shoes for all outings.

Smartphone Wildflower Photography Workshop

Sophie Xiang is passionate about capturing the beauty of our native wildflowers using smartphones. Join Sophie for a wonderful workshop and hands-on afternoon of learning about tips to use your phone, composition, light, angles, post production-edit and some basic social media tips.
Meet at the Northcliffe Meeting Space at the Northcliffe Information and Visitor Centre at 1.00pm, bring your smartphone (fully charged!). $20pp

Join us for a talk about the frogs that call the Manjimup Heritage Park home and a short walk to look for some of our spring-breeding frogs. Wear enclosed shoes, bring wet weather gear if inclement, BYO torches, adult supervision is required.
