A creative partnership has been forged in the beautiful Southern Forests region to unite our premium food and arts offerings through a series of curated tours.
Genuinely Extraordinary Southern Forests Food & Art Experience will run from April to October and will include premium seasonal offerings such as truffle, wine, honey, apples, feijoas, marron and more. Visitors will be able to explore fields and orchards, connect with local artists in their studios, enjoy guided walks through Australia’s leading nature and art trail – Understory Art & Nature Trail, and even participate in a creative workshop while feasting on local culinary delights.
CHEFS FOOD AND FARM TOURS
Genuinely Southern Forests, getFresh Merchants, and Buy West Eat Best are ever enthused to welcome chefs to the region during the Southern Forests abundant and inspiring autumn period.
The natural collaboration brings together the strengths of the three organisations to create, promote, and supply some of the best produce in the state to some of the state’s best chefs.
The exclusive tour aims to showcase the diversity of the region’s local produce – visiting farms, meeting growers, learning about the amazing array of produce, creating connections – and enabling the chefs to draw inspiration from the whole experience to take back and transform in their kitchens and venues.
SOUTHERN FOREST WINE TRAIL
Cellar doors and wineries throughout the Manjimup and Pemberton Wine Regions have banded together to form the first Southern Forests Wine Trail.
The Southern Forests is a largely undiscovered, unheralded area that produces some of the finest wines to be had anywhere in the world. There is an eclectic range of cellar doors in spectacular settings where tranquil, unhurried wine tasting experiences are on offer.
The self-drive wine trail is a great way to enjoy the best of the Manjimup and Pemberton Wine Regions. Combine the trail with regional features of genuine fresh local produce, art galleries, behind-the-scenes tours, bike and walking trails, farm stays or nature experiences, and this trail is perfect for a weekend trip or extended stay.
Visitors can talk with the wine maker, grower or owner of the business at a leisurely pace with beautiful scenic drives traversing undulating orchards and farms, towering karri and jarrah forests, lush pastures and blue skies in between.
