This easy six kilometre return trail runs from Walpole Nornalup Visitor Centre to the Coalmine Beach Caravan Park on the scenic Nornalup Inlet. It traverses interesting swampland, with much of the walk on boardwalk.
Coalmine Beach is so named because of a shallow seam of coal found at the base of the cliffs. It was never mined due to its low grade. The beach lies on the shores of the scenic Nornalup Inlet. Nornalup Inlet is connected to Walpole Inlet via a one kilometre channel.
Most of this trail is shared with the Bibbulmun Track.
