It’s not hard to imagine why this green town was given the name “Greenbushes”. Founded as a mining town in 1888, after tin was discovered in 1886, Greenbushes was a popular spot of surveyors who also appreciated the colours of the native vegetation. There are two townsites to celebrate this place, one in Greenbushes and one 3km north, called North Greenbushes. Today Talison Lithium Limited operates the Greenbushes mine, which is a great spot for visitors wanting to see an active mine.
